As guests enter the elegantly furnished, family stylized Café de France, they often inquire as to whether the owner, Barry Gilani will be hosting the current service. The question is asked with important reason; Barry, among other elements, is the dominant reason why patrons choose to dine with Café de France concept, but a carefully ingrained aspect of the Café de France experience.

Barry was raised in Lyon, France before coming to the United States. Along with his fascination for business and food, Barry traveled to, and lived in, numerous locations including England and Iran. He received his major in marketing from the University of Texas at Dallas. After graduation, Barry and his family opened the first Café de France in Plano, Texas on February 28, 1982 to rave reviews.

Café de France started service as a bakery and over the months, Barry, added breakfast, lunch, and dinner services. When speaking of the process of creating the menu, Barry is proud to reiterate the fact that the menu is inspired by the customers.

Over years, Barry would run various specials and if the customers cherished the food, he would make it a permanent part of the menu. Today, with licensed locations in Texas and Colorado, Café de France boasts a selection of over 150 food items, and over 50 beverage items.

The food of Café de France is fresh and all natural; absolutely no additives or preservatives are used in any of the food or beverage items. When piecing together a hamburger, for instance, only fresh USDA Certified ground chuck is used. Every item on the menu is made from scratch by exceptionally trained chefs who piece together each plate with artistic pizzazz.

Café de France is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Please, come in for breakfast and stay for dinner!
