Mangia!
Mangia!
Sicilian Trattoria & Market / Casual Italian is a dining and
entertainment gateway to the mountains, close to Denver in a
beautiful setting. Located in the Historic District of Idaho
Springs, it sits among well-maintained buildings largely built
in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Take I-70 Exit 240 to Miner
St and go east two blocks to 1446 Miner St, on the corner of
Miner and 15th.
Conveniently located on the I-70 corridor, Idaho Springs has
become a customary stop for many travelers. Idaho Springs
already had many places to enjoy casual fare when Mangia!
was created to bring an upscale dining experience with a touch
of class to the area. It has become a popular place for area
residents, tourists, and skiers as a place for wonderful food,
relaxing ambiance, cozy bar, and entertainment on selected
evenings. The entertainment is most often provided by a pianist
or acoustic guitarist. Blues and jazz are the dominant themes.
Like all Mangia!’s offerings, the appetizers are superb.
Sample our calamari, hand-cut by our chefs and flash-fried to
bring out the delicate flavor and delightfully tender texture.
Our soups are handmade in our kitchen, and our signature salad
is one you’re sure to order again. Our entrees feature
traditional Sicilian favorites such as Spaghetti Pomodoro,
Eggplant Parmesan, and thin-crust rectangular pizzas. Or, try
one of Chef Ryan’s creations that have a more nouveau flair,
like our Salmon Mediterranean, or his nightly specials, featured
Wednesdays through Sundays. You won’t want to miss dessert,
either, whether it’s locally-made gelato or any of the other
wonderful selections.
We have an extensive wine list and a great martini menu that
complements our full bar service. Since nearly everything is
made to order, we can accommodate almost any special need you
may have. Our catering department will make your next event
extra special and can prepare the cuisine of your choice, not
just Italian.
The restaurant features a covered patio facing the street,
perfect for warm-weather dining but which is also open on the
nicer days in winter, with warmth provided by a patio heater.
The larger back patio is open spring through fall, and also has
heaters for those chilly spring and fall evenings.
Mangia! is filled with charm and warmth, serving
incredibly delicious food. A little bit hip, a little bit
classy, but by no means formal, we invite you to join us for
lunch or dinner, a drink and antipasto, a bottle of wine, a
special celebration, or a simple escape.
