On March 18, 2006, more than 40 of Southern Colorado’s best restaurants and caterers are gathering at the Broadmoor Hotel (Colorado Hall) for the biggest culinary show of 2007! Enjoy 3 hours to sample food from participating restaurants and enjoy special tastings of wine and beer from local purveyors. Local chefs will be battling it out “Iron Chef” style for the coveted Chef de Cuisine trophy. Plus, special guest appearance from the Flying W Wranglers! One cost for admission gets guests into all of the day’s events. Funds raised will benefit Memorial Health System Foundation and the Colorado ProStart program.

3. AN EVENING OF BEER AND TAPAS AT TASTES
Tastes has teamed up with Steamworks Brewery from Durango to host a five course tapas/dessert and beer pairing. The menu will include Tete de Moine cheese; Grilled Eggplant, Artichoke Heart with Roasted Red Pepper; Italian Meatballs; Ham and Bean Soup; and Vanilla Gelato with warm Peaches. Each of these tasty delights will be paired perfectly with one of your favorite beers. This event will be on February 20th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Reservations are recommended. 4. STRINGS RESTAURANT PRESENTS “DINNER & A MOVIE”
Looking for a way to rejuvenate your mind and spirit? Then join Strings Restaurant as they present their monthly dinner, movie and discussion. Every 4th Thursday for the next six months, you can feast on dinner, watch an inspirational movie, then discuss the teachings inspired by each movie. The cost is $65 per person and that includes dinner, coffee/tea, movie and an hour of learning. Their first movie will be on February 22nd and will feature “The Secret”. 5. HELP TANGLEWOODS SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY
In their continuing effort to support the community, please join Tanglewoods in a series of Wine Tastings and Wine Dinners which are designed to benefit their local schools and local non-profits. Tuesday, March 6th Tanglewoods will be hosting Old Bridge Cellars from Australia, for an evening of Wine Tasting benefiting the Evergreen Parks and Recreation District and their Special Needs Program. Tuesday, April 3rd will be the first in a series of events for Evergreen and Conifer High Schools and Challenge Day, a tremendously-successful mentoring program. The Tastings will feature an array of wines, presented by winery representatives and accompanied by Tapas platters, Anti-Pastas or Cheese Platters.
