About us:
Tom, Joyce and Justin Becker opened Tanglewoods in October,
2005.
A lifelong “family pipe dream” turned into reality when Tom and
Joyce
closed their previous business of 19 years and Tom graduated
from the
Culinary School of the Rockies. Joyce provided her design
expertise to
create an astonishingly comfortable but upscale feel; Justin
brought his
experience to the table and created a lively Pub with a fabulous
service
philosophy. Together, the Becker’s put together the premier
dining location in the Denver foothills.
As Tanglewoods opened, it found itself in the “Fine Dining”
realm and
was tagged as a “special occasion” restaurant. In doing so, it
produced a reputation as a restaurant producing outstanding
food, but an identity they never meant to create. The Becker’s
realized the need to change directions, a need to pursue a style
they originally had intended. With the directional change from
Fine Dining to Gastropub, Tanglewoods has both built upon the
fun, local, upscale image they have garnered and have remained
true to the fabulous quality of food and presentation they have
come to be known for. With style, servings, pricing and
activities suited for a fun and relaxed evening, Tanglewoods is
the place to be, any night of the week.
With Tom coming from a musical background, Tanglewoods has
become the foremost acoustic music location in the foothills.
Justin’s Wine List gathers rave reviews and Tanglewoods is a
local favorite for private dinners, business functions,
celebrations and parties. Ultimately this “family pipe dream” is
turning into more than what Tom, Joyce and Justin ever thought
it would be!
